No one cares about you
Before your ego starts shouting at me (soz mate), let me take you through a few things.
One of the main issues with people getting into training in the gym, is that they fear they’ll look stupid because they have no idea what they’re doing.
It’s a valid fear and thought process. I’ve recently moved, and I was walking Piggy (my dog, yes, she’s called pig) the other day and felt like the entire population of the village was watching me, only because I am new and everything is a bit unfamilliar.
But was Shyreen (yeah i’ve never heard of that name either) really watching me from her landing window for 20 minutes wondering what that human with really long legs is doing walking in HER village?
Doubt it.
But if so, hiya Shyreen.
This is a really similar feeling to when joining a gym, you feel like everyone is watching your every move.
Newsflash, no one cares what you’re doing. If you still don’t believe me, a really helpful ‘thought exercise’ is to think about if you were them, would you be really concerned and offended if someone dropped a weight or was reading a machine for a few minutes…
